Need a Vessel Safety Check?
The vessel safety check is a free service offered by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Vessel Examinations are conducted by specially trained member. This examination is a free service.The examiner will inspect your vessel to make sure it meets minimum guidelines for what the Coast Guard feels is needed to operate the vessel under safe condition. No citations are issued at the examination for failure to comply with minimum regulations. The Auxiliary is not a law enforcement agency. Examinations are done at the ramp or marina.Upon successful completion of the examination you will receive a vessel safety decal from the examiner.

* Please understand we are a volunteer organization and our time and locations are limited, please be patient and flexible.
You may also look for an examiner at your local marina during the normal boating season and we will be more than glad to provide your vessel with an examination immediately.
